With so many iOS devices out there, some of them running iOS 4.1 (new iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch
4G) and iOS 3.2.2 (new iPad), it’s understandable to see so many people interested in jailbreaking these two new iOS versions. I am talking about the iOS devices sold in Apple store as we speak, that come with iOS 4.1 / 3.2.2 on board by default and can’t be downgreaded to iOS 4.0.2 and jailbroken afterwards. And it looks like the SHAtter-based jailbreak you’re waiting for is closer than expected.

The new jailbreak solution will apparently come thanks to the Chronic Dev Team although we do expect them to work closely to the iPhone Dev Team on this endeavor. The iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 jailbreak solution will apparently be called Greenpois0n as Greenpois0n.com has recently been updated.

As you can see for yourself the website shows one logo with a skull made out o the official Apple logo. What else do you need to prove that this particular website is not Apple friendly? And since it’s not Apple friendly it’s definitely going to have some jailbreaking and/or unlocking features.

Besides that Apple logo skull there aren’t any other details available there. We have no idea when the iOS 4.1 / 3.2.2 jailbreak will be unleashed, but considering that it has already tested in the wild according to previous tweets, a public release is expected in the following weeks.

And for those of you that haven’t been following the recent progress of this new iOS 4.1 / 3.2.2 jailbreaking method I’ll remind you that we’re looking at something totally different than JailbreakMe here, a new bootrom exploit that is said to jailbreak all current iOS devices, iPad with iOS 3.2.2 too, for life. Reports are saying that Apple will not be able to patch this one up in a following iOS update so that’s why this Greenpois0n sounds so interesting.
