Activinterface AUDI/VW Instruction Manual

This adaptor is for use for in following cars: Connects aftermarket headunits to OEM systems in AUDI A-series, PASSAT DSP, GOLF DSP (4/98on) PORSCHE 996, BOXSTER with active front and rear, or passive front and active rear speakers, max. 4*50 W. Also suitable for AUDI BOSE systems. Not suitable for VW cars with 4:3 navigation MFD1.

Installations referse 17005
The interface can be used for the connection of an aftermarket radio to the sound system of the vehicle.
Installation without using a CAN Bus interface
1. Tap off the original head unit.
2. Connect the red MINI ISO plug of the interface 17005 to the MINI ISO plug of the car.
3. Connect the ISO plug of 17005 to the ISO speaker output of the radio.
4. The loose blue wire must connect to remote (+12V).
5. Refit the head unit.

Installation with CAN bus Interface
If you use a CAN bus interface 63020 plus cable kit 61020, you can use part 17005 too.
1. Tap off the original head unit.
2. Connect the red MINI ISO plug of the interface 17005 to the yellow MINI ISO plug of the cable kit (61020).
3. Connect the cable kit (61020) with the plug of the car.
4. Connect the ISO plug of the interface 17005 with the speaker output of the radio.
5. The loose blue wire must connect to remote (+12V).
6. Refit the head unit.
