SRI Manual Reset Instruction for BMW 2001

This link of this pdf manual we provide free to reset INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SIA for BMW E38,E39,E46,E52,E53 Models. In case it is not possible to use the SIA reset tool to reset on 2001 vehicles without the diagnostic connector in the engine compartment. The service indicator may be reset using the reset mode in the instrument cluster.

Ignition key must be “off”
• Press and hold the trip odometer button in the instrument cluster (left button), and turn
the ignition key to the first position.
• Keep the button pressed for approximately 5 seconds until one of the following words
appear in the display: “OIL SERVICE, or “INSPECTION”, with “rESET”.
• Release the reset button and press and hold again until “rESET” begins to flash.
• While the display is flashing, press the left button briefly to reset the service interval.
After the display has shown the new interval, the following will appear: “END SIA”

Apply Parking Brake and properly block rear wheels. Remove plastic wheel nut covers using the factory supplied tool. Brake loose the lug nuts on both front wheels with a 17mm socket before jacking up the vehicle and secure on a pair of jack stands. Or jack one side only using a single jack stand of suitable load rating. Step 2 Remove Wheels After securing the vehicle at a convenient height, remove the front wheels. Wheel shown may not be representative of vehicle described in this manual. Step 3 Remove Inner Brake Line Connection WARNING – Brake line fluid will damage most painted surfaces.

Immediately clean spilled brake fluid from any painted surfaces. Place a drip tray or several rags directly below the inboard brake line connection. If the area around the connection is dirty, clean with brake cleaner or appropriate cleaning agent Note- Be sure the cap is securely installed on the master cylinder. If the cap is loose or removed, it is likely more fluid will drip. Using an 11mm wrench, loosen and remove the hard line fitting from the stock brake line. Removal of Clip Shown Quickly place one of the rubber caps over the end of the hard line. This should effectively control fluid loss for the duration of the installation. Note- Brake fluid will drip onto your hands during this operation. Latex gloves may be preferred. Be aware that brake fluid will soak through fabric or leather gloves and transfer to everything touched after that.

1. Take the kit out of the box and lay everything out. You can install either the ballasts or bulbs first but typically it is
easier to install the bulbs first.

2. Remove the access cap from the rear of your headlight housing as shown.

3. Drill a hole in the center of the cap as shown. If you use a hole saw that will be all you need. If you use the small drill
bit you will need to use your dremel to cut a 1″ hole. You may want to use some sand paper just to smooth the edges
you have cut.

4. Some of the bulbs come with adaptors that some other cars require (shown by the blue arrow). This Volvo
installation does not require them. Take your plyers and cut them off. This will allow you to remove the base of the bulb
case later on (shown by the red arrow).

5. Feed the AMP connector ends of the bulbs through the hole from the inside out and seat as shown. Seal the
provided 1″ gasket in the hole you have made. You should have two connectors coming out of the same side as the
bulb that will eventually connect to the OEM harness- these will be connected later. Leave the bulb in the case for now.

In a marketplace were every manufacturer it seems has a sporty or hot hatch in its model line up, Peugeot has added a hot hatch to its 206 range. With the parking brake on, and the car out of gear (neutral), rotate the crankshaft clockwise until #1 cylinder is at TDC (top dead center) with all of it’s valves closed. To insure that this is correct, look at the crank pulley (TDC is the second mark from the left, it will usually be marked with yellow paint). Also check that the cam lobes on #1 cylinder are pointing away from the center of the motor, if they are pointing toward the center, rotate the motor one full rotation clockwise. Again check the crank pulley to see that it is on TDC.

2. Roll the windows to approximately 1/2 open, and so the crank handle is in the Down Position. With either the Crank Spring Removal Tool, or a flat Screwdriver, remove the spring, located in a slot on the back of the crank.
3. Remove the cover plate for the remote-control mirror, which is held in place by 3 spring clips. Remove by gently pulling the front corner of the cover out, and then slide the cover back.
4. Remove the door Pull-handle cover, by inserting a screwdriver into the access hole on the bottom of the handle, and using the screwdriver as a lever, pop off the handle cover.
5. Remove the button covering a retaining screw in the interior door latch backing plate.
6. Remove the 8 Torx™ retaining screws around the perimeter of the door panel, and the single Torx™ retaining screw in the interior door latch.

Ford Midget engine Owners Manual 2006

The Focus Midget engine is equipped with an opposite rotation water pump impeller, and the water pump pulley turns in the opposite direction when compared to the street version of the engine. This does not reverse the coolant flow through the engine, it simply allows the pulley to be driven with the HTD belt instead of using the back-side of a serpentine belt. No modifications to the water pump impeller or water pump pulley are allowed.

Coolant exits the head at the cast elbow located at the rear of the engine, and enters the engine at the pump. Since the engine runs on methanol, and the compression ratio has not been raised, excessive heat is generally not a problem. Therefore, a standard Midget-type radiator has proven more than adequate. High pressure, racing radiator caps have not been needed to maintain acceptable temperatures, 16 lb. caps have been adequate. All main coolant lines should be at least –10, or 5/8” inside diameter.

Clamp one end of the second jumper cable to the grounded negative ( – ) terminal of the charged battery and the final connection to a grounded heavy metal bracket in the engine compartment or on the engine of the disabled vehicle (In case the disabled vehicle is a equipped with a trunk-mounted battery, make the final connection to either a grounded metal bracket or the battery ground wire where it attaches to the vehicle body.). 5. Start engine of the vehicle with the charged battery, switch off all unnecessary accessories and run at high idle. Make sure the cables are not on or near pulleys, fans, or other parts that will move when the engine is started. Then start engine of the disabled vehicle in the usual manner. 6. After the engine has started, removejumper cables by exactly reversing the above installation sequence, starting with the last connection made first. When removing each clamp, make sure that it does not touch any other metal while the other end is still attached. Jumper cable specifications • Minimum cable cross-section of 25mm2 or approx. 2 AWG • Maximum length of 11.5 ft. (3.5m).

STEP 1. Begin by removing the dash cluster trim bezel. Do this by grasping the top of the trim bezel and pull carefully, releasing top clips. A total of eight (8) clips will be released. Using the two (2) holes in the Pro.Fit VSMTM as a guide, mark two spots for pilot holes with a marking pen and set mount aside. Using your drill and 5/64” drill bit, drill two (2) pilot holes. STEP 3. Place and align the Pro.Fit VSMTM over the two pilot holes. Insert the two (2) screws provided and tighten with your #2 Phillips screwdriver. STEP 4. Replace the dash cluster trim bezel securing all clips and wiring. Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM. This completes the installation of your Pro.Fit VSMTM.
