Acid-attack victim Storro's Oprah appearance cancelled, questions
The Vancouver acid-attack victim cancelled her Oprah appearance under growing reports that her assault might have been self-inflicted.
Burn victim Bethany Storro, 28, was to have appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show next week.
The Vancouver woman was attacked on August 30th when a random female threw an acid-like substance in her face.
Storro's Facebook page was picked up by the Examiner.com:
So... things have changed. AND IT'S OKAY. Sometimes there is a reason (most of the time there is)... I was going to be on Oprah, but not going to happen! From the very beginning I wanted to inspire people (hope I have) and tell them about Jesus. The show was going to possibly turn into another direction, so my family and I decided not to go on. I hope you understand and will still check in on me :)
Speculation about the validity of Storro's story was discussed on "Inside Edition" Tuesday, September 14, with some people questioning her story and how the facts did not add up.
