Possible tornado south of Wooster

Authorities say a possible tornado occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday south of Wooster.

The Ohio Highway Patrol reports that damage has been reported on the campus of the Ohio State Agricultural Research and Development Center off U.S. Route 250.

The patrol says high winds damaged buildings and a greenhouse on the campus and even flipped over a parked car.

There were no reports of injuries.

The storm caused severe street flooding in parts of Akron.

The Akron fire department had to rescue several stranded motorists. There were no reports of significant storm damage in the Akron area.
