Property Tax Relief - When properties are damaged, like those in the San Bruno Pipeline Explosion, homeowners may apply for Calamity Forms through a program administered by the San Mateo County Assessor. This Program helps a property owner lower their property taxes if the property has been damaged or lost. The property tax relief continues until the property is completely replaced or repaired. Red tagged properties do NOT need to submit a Calamity Form. The Assessor's Office has done this for you.
